We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have USIU as our most important, forward thinking and professional client, and indeed it is due to the hard work and incredible leadership and foresight of Dr. Brown that the University has come so far in what has now become clearly the Leading Private University in Kenya, both in terms of Educational Quality and Facilities.
The completion of this building marks our 6th Construction project on the Campus, and we have 4 more ready to roll out when the University is ready, and 2 more projects on your other wonderful site. These include replacing the existing prefabricated buildings with an extended new School of Humanities Building, Classrooms, ICT rooms and offices and the development of more student accommodation on the Campus.
The New Students Center consists of more than 82,000 square feet which caters for various important student and University activities.
The New Students Center includes:
New Health Center
New Counseling Center
Meeting Rooms
Offices
Teaching kitchens and a restaurant
Coffee Shop
Sport Facilities including table tennis, pool, martial arts and aerobics
An incredibly well equipped Gym
Changing Rooms
The bringing together of all these facilities creates a renewed Focus on the development of the student community on the site, continuing to develop The University Campus as the leading integrated working and Residential University Community.
The existing buildings on Campus, technically, socially and administratively, are of mixed natures, and we believe the Students Center Facility reflects a completely fresh Architectural Character.
We hope the New Students Center will compliment and link into all existing facilities, rather than appearing as a stand-alone new development.
We again wish to express our gratitude in working for USIU on this great variety of projects, which include the Business School, The Library, ICT Center, Science Center and now the Student Center.
We look forward to working with the USIU development team headed up now by Vice Chancellor and Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor Paul Zeleza, and Engineer Paul Warui, both of whom are an absolute pleasure to work with.
Finally, our work cannot be done without a big team behind us: Engplan Structural and Civil Engineers, Harold Fenwick Quantity Surveyors, Varsani Associates Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Leah the USIU Clerk of Works and of Course to Ramesh, who heads up Cementers Building Contractors, together with his team of subcontractors, including Central Plumbing, Vekaria Electrical, and Hitech Air Conditioning, G.North the suppliers of the teaching kitchen equipment, and finally Victoria furniture and Adscope sign Center.
It’s a big team and we need them all to complete such a prestigious project.
Looks great but maybe it'd be nicer if you included internal photos and a little more architectural data for us who might be trying to compile a case study of it
